I don't know if this has been covered elsewhere. I also don't follow any social media or watched any of the SEMA tool videos on YT.

Anyway... does anyone know if HF has plans to release more green Icon tools? Pliers, more drivers, other handled tools.

Those were the only two mentioned at SEMA... too bad really as neither of those are on the better end of Icon tools IMHO. The screwdrivers have ridiculously big and un-ergonomic handles and the picks have the opposite problem... Toy sized.

If it's not pink, it's like a $5 Rolex bought on the 42nd street.

When you enter your garage and open toolbox, you should feel young and girly.

Regarding green color, it looks like ICON wanted to emulate Wera green screwdrivers.

As a fun fact, note that the ICON G2 1/4 inch ratchets are the same mechanism that snap on uses. I put a 3/8 snap on RFRFC72 rebuild kit in shorty ICON G2 ratchet. I now have a 3/8 ICON shorty. The ICON ratchet cost $29, the snap on equivalent was $113. Probably both made in the same Taiwan factory. I did the same using a snap on bit driver repair kit to make an ICON shorty bit driver.

I do prefer the Wera screw drivers to the ICON.

I’ve never purchased a single tool based on tool color.
I have chosen a color I liked on a tool with more than one color.

And I considered a specific purple vessel screwdriver set because I liked how they looked... And people seem to like the style. But I really do not need them; but I still thought about it.

I would imagine most of us on this forum buy tools because we like them not need them. I own at least 80 ratchets. Got Wera screw drivers in different colors, Vessel screw drivers in different colors, SK screw drivers in green and green/white, MAC in red, etc etc. LOL
