The master set seems like a decent starting point. Still hardly enough to do oil changes, light bulbs, and tire repairs for $15/hour. Surprised there's no panel pry tools. No impact, impact sockets, or tire chuck either.
Not quite a "master" set, but it's nice to see such things provided. That would be a great starting point. Nice to see the nod to safety glasses.

Of course, Craftsman also did these types of starter-sets many decades ago, so it's not exactly a new idea, but it was a good for them to package a bunch of stuff together at a significant discount. But adding SAE makes no sense IMO; I'm guessing that 99% of those starting out today are never going to use SAE at work as there aren't too many 40+ year-old cars still on the road. Which of course pads the set price to cover the cost of the 10-19mm socket warranty returns

^^ I remember looking at the kits in the Sears catalog and wishing I had enough money to buy one of them.
