I think this is a Blackhawk bottle jack that I got at a yard when I was getting some car parts. I drained out some mocha liquid stuff. So I know it will need a set of new seals and gaskets. It was painted red at some point.

Oregon, looks like a 40’s catalogue? Thanks, now I need to verify the lifting ability, hopefully it is cast somewhere on it-as there is no decal/tag anymore.

Paulsomlo, that does not sound like fun. How do I get the big nut off?
Get two 1/4" dowel pins, place them in the "scallops" on the big nut diametrically opposed - you can use small magnets to hold them in place. Get a big pipe wrench with the jaws bearing on the two dowel pins, so that you don't chew up the nut. You'll need at least a 2' wrench and most likely a cheater bar, as well - I use a 3' pipe wrench. The tank nut is on really tight - like maybe 400+ ftlbs, since the reservoir relies on metal to metal contact to seal.

Damn😱. Thanks for tip. I was sort of headed that way as far as getting the nut off. I just didn’t realize the torque needed. Found the seal kit for $37, so clean up and reseal in the future.
