This one has me stumped... I can't find this wrench in the catalogs that I have looked at from the 1930's to 1970's. It is similar to the tube wrenches but is a solid, one piece design.

Box end measures 2" and is offset, overall length is 23". Model 2B|899 with Snap/On logo. Anyone familiar with this one and it was designed for? :dunno:

Hi. Does it look like it was manufactured as a single box or it was modified? Are you sure the box is 2"? .......2B-1899 sounds like a Caterpillar wrench. Uggh, I see someone already posted that while I was composing this.

Doesn't look modified as the finish is uniform throughout. I measured from point to point in the box end and came up with 2", but I don't know how exact that is.

OK, I just thought it might have been a combo originally.

I had the same thoughts... but then saw the box end has a double offset to it and the part number didn't line up with any of the traditional box end or combo wrenches. Came in a tool box from a heavy equipment mechanic in Kansas City.
