Bought this second hand, but i dont know what it is. Does anyone know of these? Looks like a brake riveter but the anvils are angled, and it has a long sliding bar at the bottom with a conical bit?

It looks like it would be for setting circular saws. Just my opinion, no facts to back it up.

Yes i think its that or something similar after your suggestion. The conical bit slides closer or father with the bottom bar, and can be threaded up and down. This would hold arbors of various sizes, set vertically to match the diameter of the arbor. As the anvils are angled they would bend the teeth to give it 'set', the angle being set by the threaded stop and being repeated on each tooth. I think thats what it is but wouldnt have guessed. Thanks

I've got one of these and never researched it, until today.

The Company name is Panhans.de will google them.

Under the name is the address Sigmaringen which is south of Stuttgart Germany.

Mine has a threaded stepped boss like on an angle grinder instead of the cone.

The other adjuster by the fulcrum is not to limit the travel but to press down on the saw blade.

According to Google, the Panhans Typ 1760, is a "zagen zetter". Lol, according to Google translate, that means "Saw Setter"
