Can somebody tell me what the name of this tool is so I can buy more? I'm not really interested in the roloc discs, i don't want to have to buy more sanding discs and what not. with this backing disc I can cut whatever I want to size and put it on here, i've used scrap pieces of sand paper, scotch brite, sponges, etc.

I picked this one up at a garage sale but all I can find online are roloc types.

My Dad had a bunch of those things and so did I years ago.I still have one by B&D. Standard DIY issue in the 1950's-1980's. They were available everywhere. To make then work well you had to glue the sandpaper or grinding disc on the backer pad or they would just slip even from the wimpy power of the 1/4" drill motor. They have been regulated to the bottom level tool bins at cheap tool places by much more modern technologies such as roloc.
Sorry that I can't give you good news. Try HF, big box DIY stores, "clearance" bin at TSC or ACE.
