That looks like the floor version of the bench model I bought from HF when I was in high school. I'm 40 now and it still works perfect, and believe me I put through its paces. Even laying it down and using it as a wood lathe. I'd say yes, worth 100, my big delta doesnt even have a crank up table...PIA.

Well.. you can currently buy a new import 16 speed floor drill press from Harborfreight for $239.99, so a $100 for a used one isn't too bad. If they are asking $100 you can probably get it for less.

It's generic Chinese (if you can believe that.)

I got the bench version of that for $20 on CL... So no. Although mine was in worse shape than that. (I had something I needed a DP for like yesterday and talked the guy down from $60).
It's a POS but if all you did was wood or sheet metal work it'd be OK... It doesn't like hole-sawing or going through metal more that about .25.

If that fits your needs and you need something to tie you over until something better comes along, offer him $50 and see what happens.

I have almost the same model and I have run a 5/8" drill bit no issues at all through receiver tube. Runs reamers, and hole saws fine but the original chuck sucked. popped a Jacobs chuck on there and its great. Any clue on the year mine is 76 if I remember right

i got that exact same model. had it over twenty years, yes its chinese, properly northern equipment or something. not harbor freight. Mine been great. yes it worth every penny of 100 dollars, maybe 2. I mean its a good machine, its not no antique craftsman or atlas, but its a decent machine, i had no issues with mine. Its basically a copy of a delta

If you buy it you will need to take a friend when you pick it up. Lay it on it's side and remove the head. Take it home in two or three pieces and reassemble when you get there. An assembled floor mount drill press of any size is a ***** (and a bit dangerous) to transport.
