In other words, what year was it last available, and what is it worth today?

I have been tracking this estate sale, and a craftsman drill press 15 1/2 (odd size) floor model was on the list of items. I haven't been out to see it yet as I've been out of town for spring break.

Here's is a picture I was sent. I've asked for better pictures.. one of the front in particular.

Hopefully someone can help me ID it w/o too much trouble.

Additionally another one popped up on CL for $400.. for a 17 inch floor model.

Here's a pic I was sent. What is it worth?

the first one is more desirable. its older and built like a tank. if you can get the first one for less then $200 your in good shape

Well, I dunno there. I have the second one, but a newer version. I'm into old power tools like table saws, band saws etc. But a few years ago, '01 or '02 I needed a drill press like right now. Nothing was available on the cool vintage market that wouldn't take a year or so rebuild. So I went for a Cman and couldn't be happier. Mine looks cosmetically very much the same as the second pic but my table is a bit larger than that one. The thing is very stout (I hate stamped steel and plastic stuff that skidds across the floor every time you put any pressure on it) and so far has done me well.

Dave.
