Saw this on the webs.

Anyone recognize it? Advertised as machinist chest, mostly oak and has an IAM sticker on it to lends credence to it being machinist related.

I'll second the notion of home made. I was once a member of International Association of Machinists as they had swallowed up the patternmaker union.

Yup, must be given lack of positive id.

Was wondering if it was possibly military # ***-xxxx or something.

-So was I but I question it being shop made, too much trouble for the extra features it has. Might have been from some company that made snap rings, die springs, mold heaters, clamps, or any number of components like that. Sometimes suppliers of industrial components like Carr-Lane, DME, or even Gesswein have offered a package deal for bulk orders that included a convenient storage locker. These weren't always a regular catalog item but were special offers that helped sales orders. I may be wrong about this too but I've seen several "special" storage lockers like this now and then over 40 years. Looks nice enough to clean up and put back into service. JMO
