I picked this up at the flea market, Alloy marked made in USA.

I believe that tip is a clutch tip.

Looks like a clutch head driver to me.

They came in a few versions including butterfly, butterfly with center bulb and v-grove half round.

They were popular in the 50's and 60's for machinery and public transport vehicles.

That's my guess, especially given the woodin handle and screwdriver construction.

Gotta love all of the ways sellers describe them and show the designs out there.

50-60's car rebuilers use them all the time and they are sought after.

They come in 3 or 4 different sizes in a main design and a couple other weird configurations.

Basically a 1950's version of "tamperproof" or "industry only" drivers.

I know Holley uses clutch fasteners in their carbs.
