late 80's early 90's

they are in snap on catalogs 200 and 300, the 300 is the 75th anniversary

One of the worst and least popular boxes to ever come from Snap-On. "AKA The Coke Machine" It's sure as hell wasn't 9000 dollars new. I think they listed for about 6500 and most were blown out at 3500 and had the dumbest locking system ever. It didn't last long and I've turned down a few ones in nice shape for 800 dollars. The side hutch was very narrow. Mac Tools countered Snap-On's stupid move with a set with built in stereo and speakers in the two top swinging doors. I think Cocaine made it's way into the tool box design lab in both companies.

Feel strongly about that do we? I'd agree, once aluminum trim was added, it has been downhill for Snap-on boxes.

It has a combination lock instead of a regular lock that uses a key.

i was going to get one like 2 years ago for $800 but the deal fell through.
