Hey guys,

I got a hold of what looks like a drill press spindle pulley. I popped the shaft and bearing out. Can you take a look and let me know if you can identify what brand of drill press this came from? The pulley doesn't have splines, just a funny keyway. I'm thinking it might also be modified in some way.

It's going to be hard to tell what it is off of. It could be off of anything that has multiple pulleys to change the speed. First off, you don't mention what size the pulley is, the size of the keyway, the height of the pulley, and so on. You say that you THINK it's a drill ress pulley.......what makes you think so?

Hey Kevin, good points. Sorry I hoped some of the features inside the pulley would give it away easily. I feel like I have seen this exact one in someone's rebuild thread. Maybe, maybe not!

The pulley is a standard 1950's drill press size... max OD about 4.5", total height about 3", the ID is a little over 5/8". Keyway is definitely smaller than the standard 3/16".

I may turn it into a slow-speed pulley or something :)
