Anyone know what these are? I found them in the bottom of a box of junk. I think they may be for a spot welder?

These two are steel but there are some others that are brass. After looking at them the steel are different than the brass ones.

Kind of what I was thinking too. I'm no machinist though, just have seen them in youtube vids.

It looks like a morse taper drill bit

Just measured them with calipers, there is no taper. Some of them have burn marks on the ends, I think I know the machine they came out of now. Even though it wasn't a weld it melted a flat steel plate to an aluminum bushing.
