Hi all;
I could use some thoughts on how to use this wall case in the garage. I just won it at auction ($2.08), it is 8' x 4' x 6". I just built a tool storage cabinet this summer that opens up to 8' wide (two bifold doors open up 2' on either side), so I have no immediate need for hand tool storage.

I don't envision using the glass, but making other doors, either sliding or hinged. I could mount it vertically against the wall and put in shelves to store things like spray paint.

Thoughts? (click the pic to make it bigger).

Build a box that fits the "frame" with the tracks (replace the glass sliding doors with wood panels); make the box as deep as you need it to be.

If I was able to pick up a trophy cabinet like that for $2 (you **** btw)

I would place my trophy tools, no longer used day to day in there hung on a out of the way location.

That was my 1st thought, seeing the frame. I don't have anyplace with that much clear wall to use something like that.

If you're only using it for rarely-used tools, I suppose you could leave it. Making it deeper seems like you could use it for more stuff.
