I used 2 x 4's attached to the metal framing with 3 inch selftapping screws. Then used wood screws to attach OSB to the 2 x 4's.

That was my problem. Also the electrical conduit and boxes were mounted on the metal framing instead of flush with it. Using the 2 x 4's firred it out flush so as to cover all the metal framing. My walls are 10 ft so either way the OSB would not cover the entire height without ripping a piece 2 ft. I chose to run the OSB horizontally hoping it would give the wall a little more strength.
