Ideas for attaching OSB

need some suggestions for what type of fastener to attach osb to metal columns in a prefab metal building

I used 2 x 4's attached to the metal framing with 3 inch selftapping screws. Then used wood screws to attach OSB to the 2 x 4's.

Yep. Used em to replace the PT plywood on my utility trailer. They didn't balk on bit screwing into the frame.

I sued 1 5/8" coated deck screws. You may be temped to use drywall screws - the heads will pop, so you'll want anything tougher than that.

That was my problem. Also the electrical conduit and boxes were mounted on the metal framing instead of flush with it. Using the 2 x 4's firred it out flush so as to cover all the metal framing. My walls are 10 ft so either way the OSB would not cover the entire height without ripping a piece 2 ft. I chose to run the OSB horizontally hoping it would give the wall a little more strength.

OSB is available special order in many lengths, especially 10' at any decent lumber yard
