Looking for ideas on what to use these vintage cast iron tall machine bases for.
Easy idea is to put a large board across both for a simple garage shelf.
Any other ideas?IMG_1719.jpeg

The more ornate cast bases, wheels and belt pullyies are very popular for custom tables in a home and getting very hard to find.
It's sad to think about the amount of old American castings that have been scrapped. I'm not sure we can even produce this quality anymore. (Think singer sewing machine base)20230112_075852.jpg

Anchor them down and put a hammock between.

Here's an all metal side table Made from 1/2" thick plasma drop top and Hydraulic Pumper Inc (Tulsa OK) base.

Thanks everyone. Great ideas!
I'm out of town at the moment, but recall they are approx 48" tall.

Kabinenroller,
Wonderful history/info. Thank you!!!
Searching that website found this photo. Looks like these were support columns.

Have you anywhere on your property where a nice gate is needed or replaced cause they look like they’d make nice supports?

I agree grinder or vise stand is an option too but they look pretty tall for those tools.

Well it’s been 6 months, have you decided what you’re going to do with them?

The top came off an old dishwasher.
