I have a heavily stained deep sink in the laundry room that is looking pretty bad.

After bleaching and a round with Bar Keepers Friend....still "no bueno".

Anyone have an idea I might try? At this point, I'm looking at buying new and reinstalling.

thanks.

Every once in a while I replace one, Home depot I believe and well under 20$ Tub and tile cleaner works somewhat, the Zep spray from HD.

As much as I hate to say it,
Some things aren’t worth saving.

Recycle this one and get a new one.

It will give you a chance to put on a better faucet, sturdier legs, etc.

FYI: I bought a new plastic laundry sink just the other day for my garage. I think it was only $37.00 or something like that.

Good luck,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Jerry

Try Craiglist. Just bought a stainless steel commercial double deep sink, with a faucet set, adjustable feet, back splash, and a 2'x2 attached stainless drain board for $175. Just a thought.....

I use commercial oven cleaner. The stuff we use to clean garbage cans and yellow mop buckets at the restaurant.

I also mount them up a little, they are too short for me and I re-do the fitting to accept single handle kitchen faucet. Nice to be able to turn on with back of hand when dirty, I have one installed in the traffic lane so to speak, very convenient. One on far side of building near pisser. All this really helps to keep bathrooms clean.

Replace it, Florestone makes a good laundry tray, it is available in a wall hung or freestanding type, the garbage that Home Depot sells is a waste of money, I bought one last year (Florestone wall hung) that was about $60 the one it replaced was not able to be cleaned, it was a waste for me to even spend the time I did in a attempt to clean it.

Try some of that gel toilet bowl cleaner. I've heard people who clean apartments after the college kids leave swear by it. Just slather it on and let it set as long as possible.

Pool acid. Dangerous fumes and bad for the pipes, but it gets the job done.

Maybe try a test patch. If it works like I think, do a very little at a time. It will etch the surface. Never mix chlorine and acid. You'll die. But, bleach has its place too, depending on the type of stain.

Every time I've rehabbed an old house or apt, I've pulled the nasty toilet, taken it outside and douched it with acid. They look like new. But, that's china porcelain, not porcelain over cast iron. Still, porcelain is porcelain.
