I need some small steel coupons, maybe no bigger than a business card, shape isn't really important.
I'm building attachments to make a piece of steel pipe into a handrail. The steel coupons will be the part that bolts to the wall and I will weld a bit of rebar between it and the handrail.
I could buy some bar stock and cut lengths off, but I was looking for something I can buy off the shelf...I could use big flat washers, but they have a hole in the middle and I don't want that. I thought about the knock-outs for electrical boxes, but those are a little too small. I can probably go dig through a scrap bin somewhere but there must be something I can buy at the hardware store or big-box store. One side of a hinge could work, if it didn't have the hingy bit.
