Looking for ideas on how to add a chamfer the inside of a 3/16” 5c collet? Want to be able to easily insert material thru the back side. Thinking about it now I guess I can hold it in a collet block. What kind of tool would you use? Both for length and not get jammed in the inturrupted cut?
Thanks for any ideas.

Have you considered making a funnel to press into the collet to guide the rod? Turn up a piece of delrin with a 3/16"+ hole in one end and flairs out to the collet ID. Make it a light press into the collet. Maybe 1" long.

Yes I have thought about a funnel. Actually modified a collet stop nut today to hold a 5/16”od x 1/4” id SS tube and flaired the input end with a brake line flair tool. But still has a slight step into the collet bore.
