Ok, I spent saturday repairing two 3/4" drive Chicago Pneumatic impact guns,
"old" model 774 made in japan. When I was testing them I ran around the shop and collected several 1/2 guns and hammered away on the rear wheel lugs of John Deere tractor for comparison.

This 1/2 drive gun got my attention, it has obviously been used quite a bit, actually several years in professional setting, and it put 3 month old IR 1/2" Ti gun to shame removing the lugs. It has fantastic trigger and is rather quiet. It has decent balance but it is bit heavier and bulkier than the IR.

So basically - very good gun, question is who made it?

Number on handle: SR06K

My guess is Chicago Pneumatic??

Yes, you are right, thanks!

Rated 550lb ft....

So much for the torque ratings on impact guns...

I have the same gun and love it . I got it for Christmas 13 years ago while I was in tech school and it's seen a lot of rusty bolts, tire rotations but I've always oiled and it's still running strong!
