Identification of degree indicator

These degree face plate indicators where in a box lot I picked up at a recent auction and I'm not having any success at identifying what equipment used them. Face plates are 6" diameter.

I can make out ACKERMAN BODN---Something
Stock NO. 61D4CC
On the back side, 10/76 (Likely the year made)
ABC
61D-4-CC

So far my google skills are coming up short. Thought I would see if anyone here recognizes it.

Ackerman Bodner was in business in 1974 in New Rochelle NY is all I can find now, maybe more luck tomorrow, it’s past my bedtime.

I had a degree wheel just like that that was used on a car engine to degree the camshaft. Bolted on the end of the crankshaft and a home made pointer. You can google how to degree a camshaft to see this in use. I think ours were Moroso brand.
