Just wondering if any one uses identifix.com for car problem shooting and if so how useful is it ? whats the monthly cost? Any comments welcome. I jut heard about this last week and It sounds helpful.

It's very handy for diagnosis. I have no idea what it runs, but it definitely saves time and frustration. I never tried the phone service, just the online. They charge a mint for the help line.

I was skeptical of the whole "quick fix" thing, but now I wouldn't work without it. Do a demo with one of their salespeople before you buy.

We have identifix and mitchell on demand at the shop. They are very expensive for a business, however Im pretty sure its cheaper for an individual. Mitchell is great for info, torque specs, procedure. Identifix is great for diagnostic, wire diagrams, and troubleshooting common problems, very useful if you fix all makes and models. Im not sure how useful either would be if you just need to fix your own cars. Much cheaper to just buy a service manual.

I have had it for more than a year and use it at least 5 times a day. 129 a month.
