Can anyone identify this small level? It has no name or marks on it.

Correct image, wrong name

Straight edge pocket level, for Attaching to framing squares or straight edges.

Line Levels usually attach to a string w two hooks

You are right. I used line level when I was doing my google search, and it got locked in my mind.

Hard way is to look through all these catalogs, and note the filigree changes, etc

Slightly easier, someone already did that, but I can’t find it right now. Seems like there were 4 easily identified traits, but my google skills were used up at work today, so I can’t find squat right now.

Target fixation, I know it well

After looking at some of the photos online, I noticed that the part that has the designs is a thin plate held on by the screws. Yours is missing that plate, which might have the additional information needed to date it.
