Thanks! Every time I video or photograph a vehicle I can’t identify I get help here. I’m pretty good with 50s and 60s rigs but not so much with anything older.

Actually, I may be wrong. Seems like those '39-'42 Ford 2 door sedans had a line that went all way towards the back where the stamped sheet metal pieces would've been welded together. The car in the pic looks like it's missing that. May have had that crease filled in?

This is one of my favorite pics of all time. The 25th millionth Ford -- a 1937 Deluxe humpback sedan. It's horrible that Edsel Ford died in 1943 of cancer at 50. His great design aesthetic would've served the co. well until the 1970's if he had lived.

He probably looked down from Heaven and saw the horribly styled Edsels, his namesake car, and puked. :)

It is at least a 40 because the wipers are on the cowl below the windshield.

We have a 39‘ Deluxe 2 Door Sedan. Yes 40’ put the wipers under the windshield. But the rear of Drip Rail on this Sedan originally posted ends too short by rear of Qtr window.
Same era, possibly a brand other than Ford ?

I think I might agree with FredWanaker.
You can make out the outline of the double stainless trim on the door and you can also see that little deflector detail above the wing window on the door.

My guess: 1941 Pontiac Torpedo.
See if there is a VIN plate around the driver's door jamb.
Clues: wiper arm design, longish rear passenger window, drip rail around windows, slight crease in belt line, chrome door spear in line with door handle. Of course other GM makes shared this body.

In any case, now that you've publicized it, that car will soon be on BAT for $10,000.

there was a show on tv where they took a car like that and cut the roof off, welded the doors closes, without front end

No clue. Any way the window crank/position and whatever that other thing is on the interior door panel can help with the ID?
