Can anyone identify the pump, brand and model would be great.

I picked it up at an estate sale today for $50, it works, extremely well. Seems like it pumps too much, too fast. Wondering if there is an adjustment.

Thanks

I want to say that is a 1940-50's Lincoln. It also looks like a "....coln" on the one sticker.

I think you're correct about the ...coin.....40 - 50's makes it real cool

seems like a regulator on your air pressure would fix the too fast too much?

I usually regulate to 120 but turned it down to 90 and it still pumps more than I think it should.

Have you ever used an air grease gun before? They deliver a lot of grease, really fast. That's why lube shops used them. (A typical late 40s sedan had 30 or so places to put grease, required every few hundred miles.)

With no load, the output of lincoln's modern model 20 (which has been around for decades) is 80 cubic inches of grease a minute, that's 1.3 liters, or 44 fluid ounces. that's the model found in lube shops all over the place, there are bigger ones that are faster.

A typical lever grease gun delivers between 2.5 and 3 cc per pump, so you'd need to do 480 strokes to deliver what the pump does in a minute. And stop to put new grease in twice, because a lever gun is about 16 fl oz.

We have a air grease pump and gun at our commercial shop, I forget the brand but it is a good one but doesn't put out near the grease this one does.

Looks like an old Lincoln a customer of mine has, if I remember right they have it regulated way down looking at the gauge.

As stated above, install a dedicated regulator on that unit, and dial it down until it pumps at the speed suitable for your needs.
