It also had a build in slots and dots sliding back which is unusual

Had a look through the Snap On tool website but no idea what it is.

Also the locks are stamped with 009 - can the Snap On dealers supply a couple more cylinders and two extra keys so I can get new cylinders for my other chests to match?

I don't think that is even a waterloo. If that that peg board pops up from the back, its an offshore box. Montezuma, extreme or somebody like that had a box like that, I saw on in an online flyer somewhere. As long as you like the box, that is what matters, but for $320, the guy that sold it is an a**hole.

Balls, bit of a eBay impulse buy :(

Live and learn... It's not exactly what I need for my garage space so I may sell it on. Only washed the exterior and started looking at it tonight. Build quality let's it down.

Yeah looks good, I was after a wider chest. On getting it home (2 hrs driving each way to collect) it doesn't fit under my worktop as it is 2" too tall. I could keep it and raise the top, but it's a lot of work and I don't really need the pop-up racking storage. It was from a bodyshop and was caked in filler and overspray. I should at least make some $ profit by cleaning it up and taking some better photos for the advert. I will keep looking...

Well in the end I sold this Montezuma chest on. I had the locksmith at work cut two keys for the lock (the chest didn't come with any) which didn't cost me any thing and this coupled with tidying it up let me make a reasonable profit on the time having it.

I have been looking at getting a similar sized SO 40" chest and despite the fact that there are many up for sale they are commanding high prices here in the UK (US $920-$1250 equivalent) for the maple topped ones.

This is a bit out of my range so for the time being I have replaced the outgoing chest with another SO one. Picked it up this morning from a guy selling up about an hour from our place.

Goes well with the top box that I have already and I will keep my eye out for a bigger box that is within my price range. I'm in no rush...

So, did you remove the Snap-on logo before you sold it?
