Picked this up this week for the low price of free, no idea what it is. Whatever attaches it to the base is missing, i was wondering if i could buy those pieces somewhere before i went through the effort of making them.

That’s a Wilton tradesman. 153888695998 copy that number and put it on eBay and that’s the part you need. And fantastic score worth $200 easy. Look up Wilton 1765 tradesman.

Wilton Tradesman 1765. Should have a date stamp on the bottom of the keyway of the dynamic jaw.

Inner lock ring or (2) individual cleats will be needed to attach swivel base to vise. You'll also need (2) carriage bolts and either swivel lockdown handles or nuts. All O.E. parts should still be available from Wilton but you may be better off looking up GJ member autopts on here or on Ebay. He'll more than likely be able to help you get the parts you need.

Yes. If you use hex nuts with a wrench you can get more than enough force to break the lock ring. The correct parts will limit you to a more reasonable torque.

Finished product. Rustoleum hammered copper and flat black paint. Wish i could find a new chrome handle that wasnt $200.
Cleaned and greased everything then cleaned the swivle surfaces down to bare metal and greased them as well. Smooth as butter now.
