Hello. I'm new here and this is my first time posting. I hope you might be of some assistance.
I have what I think is an old Boy Scout knife, but I have been unable to identify it or find it anywhere or any information about it, so I thought I would see if you can help.
It has the words "Boy Scouts" on a shield on the body; this shield is neither the round nor fleur de lis. It is kind of rectangular with cut outs in the corners-hard to describe.
The knife has two blades and a bottle opener and a can opener on the main side, on the "under side, it has an awl and a leather punch.

I will try to attach pictures of the knife
.
Any help you can give or any direction as to where I may turn to learn more would be greatly appreciated. The knife is very special to me as it was from my Dad who is now deceased.
Thank you.

Frank

I dont know much, but I do know there were quite a few companies who made boy scout knives over the years and many of the early ones were very similar. Most that I've seen are like many folding knives, usually there is a brand engraved/stamped at the heel end of one of the blades. Open each up individually and see if there's a brand name, if there is google should tell you more about that knife.

Looks like a Kamp-King pocket knife. Pretty sure they were standard issue for any boy that grew up in the 50s-70s. Google the name you'll find tons of info. And welcome to the Journal!

I have a lot of very old Boy Scout knives from the very early 60's. They were all made by Ulster in NY. They are stamped stainless and have the round B/S logo with the bone handle. Jim

Not all B/S knives from the 60s were SS (mine is not). They all had the official logo on them.

It looks to be German made and missing the bail. Most German made pocket knives have a steel pivot pin for the blade whereas USA made ones are of the same material as the bolsters(usually nickel silver).
Is there any stamping on the tang of the master blade? To check;open the main blade up and examine where the blade connects to the knife. There should be a name stamped into it. If it is rusted;try taking a #2 lead pencil and rubbing it across the area. This will remove rust but not damage the finish.
This pattern of knife is actually called a scout/utility as most official Scout knives only had four blades(Cub Scout and Girl Scout knives had three).
Just my opinion but it looks like a scout utility made in Germany probably before WWII(early 1930's or a bit earlier.)

EDIT: The can opener blade is broken.

agree...have half a dozen of those in various conditions, most say kamp-king but a couple say boy scouts...they are generally abused quite a bit, hard to find one in good condition...

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you to all who responded.
I tried rubbing with a lead pencil, but am unable to read any isncriptions.
I searched for the Kamp-King knives and found many that are four blade, but none that have the additional awl and leather punch.

That is because the vast majority of them were four bladed. They did have a model called the,"Super Kamp King" which featured a beer can style opener on the back. The only company I recall that made an official 6 bladed Boy Scout knife such as yours was Remington and they were rare when they were first made in the 1920's.
Most Kamp King knives had what were called,"shell" handles. The handles were made of metal with a thin coating of celluloid(or similar plastic)in a pattern to simulate jigged bone(which is what the handles on your knife are). They weren't particularly high quality but had good steel that held an edge nicely and were a good buy for the money.
Here are a couple of pictures of shell handled Kamp King knives and a couple of German made 6 blade knives.

Kamp King is a brand of the Imperial Knife Company. The few Imperial knives I have have a combination stamped scales and bolster and is attached to the carcass with fold over tabs.
