Old member here, however....this is my very first post.

A good friend gave me this bench vise for free, so the price is right

It appears to be an over sea`s Asian Brand :dunno: Can anyone identify it?
It appears to work fine, I`d like to restore it. But before I do, I`d like some advice, no pun intended

It may be difficult to ID an Asian-made vise "brand." The manufacturers over there often make the same vise for lots of different sellers under LOTS of different brand names. And most tools they make for the US market are never marketed under their own company names...which many of us would find difficult to pronounce anyway.

I have been to Taipei, Taiwan in several different manufacturing facilities, where I witnessed this situation first hand.

Thus far, in my experience, most vise enthusiasts don't show much interest in Asian-made vises. So if I were you, I would just make it look presentable, and use it.

Cheers.
