It's not correct but if it's tight I wouldn't worry about it a bit...

Its not correct but dont worry about it? If its not correct then it should be fixed.

What happened to caring about quality even when one stumbles on someone else's hack job? If the customer is willing to pay to fix it, then you just made some more money.

Cant say I haven't seen this a time or two when doing panel/service change outs. Defiantly not right, unless Im looking at it wrong, that's the neutral buss. Looks like someone should have added ground bar or two.

If it's a main panel with no disconnects upstream then the neutral bar is bonded to ground and all of the neutrals and grounds can go on the same bar.

I understand that, for one there is no neutrals on it, at least in the photo. And usually the large lug on the top is for the neutral conductor. And I know, there is probably another large lug on the bottom of it or another neutral buss on the other side of the panel. Not to mention the 15 or so grounds under one lug.

That is the main panel in a house. That’s the only neutral/ground bar, many were double lulugged. Many of the CH breakers were also double lugged.

I swear I could be an electrical inspector. Not because I'm qualified or good at it. I'd just post the photo and let you guys tear it apart...

Is the only solution to "not enough small lugs" a new electrical box? Or can you typically find a longer bar / add a 2nd bar?

Add ground bars as needed. Added bars are for grounds only, not neutrals.
