What would you buy from Snap On? Besides ratchets and sockets, what would you get? I was thinking about their hammers but not too sure.

Id take the 100 bucks and go find a bunch of used snap on stuff on E-bay or craigslist. Probably get a set of Snap On Line wrenches if I could find them.

$100 can buy you only a ratchet. Sockets cost more than $100. As for hammers, go with another brand.

i would definitely not spend $100 on snap on hammers.

you should be able to find some mid length sockets for about $100 at a pawn shop. i got my 3/8 drive metrics for less than $70

Yea not much on the truck for a cnote that is great...Thandle Allens...even the ratchets are 130 or so...my guy gives them to me for a bean each...but not sure if yours will...pick out a 147 dollar ratchet and see if he will take a hundred for it...maybe..mine does if it is cash..

i'd grab a couple of metric allen sockets that i could use, replace a missing 3/8" dr deepwell, and have a look in the used/repo box.

oh wait..

i havent seen a snappy truck in nearly 3 years, so never mind..

Is this a "real" $100 or some kind of $100 only good from your Snapon guy for regular priced stuff on his truck $100?

I like some Snapon stuff, but buy almost nothing new off the truck. If its truck only funny money, I like the crowsfeet holders, ratcheting screwdrivers are nice too. I would stick with items that are not easy to find used, or discounted much.

Wrenches for sure. I must say that the Snap-On wrenches I have are noticeably more solid feeling then my C-Man stuff.

Ratcheting screwdriver.
Though I don't think you'd really need the additional shanks... think about that yourself though--how often have you needed a long screwdriver?

I really like their gasket scrapers too.

For $100, that's overbudget already.

Why not save the money instead of spend every dollar you get as soon as you get it?

I think that is kind of wrong for you to assume that is what he is doing.

If I remember correctly the OP is pretty young and finds amazing deals on used Snap On, I would keep on that route.

That said as a garage tinkerer, I really like my snap on Hard handle ratchets.

Another vote for the Snapon ratcheting screwdriver. I once thought they were just a gimmick but now I own two! Get some extra bits like the one where you can attach 1/4" sockets. Super versatile and something that you will
use all the time.

I was almost ready tohit the checkout button on the ratcheting screwdriver...until my dad said he has one more gift for me. He hands me a box. I rip it open and find a Snap On 1/4" drive general service set and a black Snap On ratcheting screwdriver!!!!!

The last time I set foot on the Crack On truck, I bought 2 flare nut wrenches. About 80 bucks...

That is awesome i actually prefer the the hard handle ones but being able to switch shanks is convenient.

The above breaker bar is VERY nice as well.

#thnf72 1/4 Round flex head soft grip ratchet. Just under $100 and it will be your favorite 1/4 ratchet. I liked it so much I bought the matching one with 3/8 drive in 1/4 body.

I have a dual brass end 2lbs snap on hammer.... $100 is way too much for a hammer. I have seen similar hammers for $30. I did not pay for my hammer, it was given to me. A lot of things from any truck just aren't worth it.
