I finally could not take it anymore. I had to de-clutter my garage. I wish I had taken a before picture. I took one after I took everything off the old shelving units I had bought at sams club. I painted the walls a gray color. I bought cabinets at Ikea and mounted them on the wall. They needed some reinforcement to mount to the wall because they were not meant for that. Probably did the whole thing for less than a grand. Next I need to work on the floor and additional lighting.

nice.

the far right cabinet, I'd have swing the other way, but that's just my preference.

+1 for IKEA product name?

pax wardrobe 39 1/4 x 13 3/4 x 79 1/4 you can only get this one in white unless you order the deeper 22 inch cabinets but they were too deep for me. I actually painted some of the outside parts that showed as white. I put some primer on and they came out great.
The doors were TANEM red (Article Number: 099.041.98). The small upper cabinets were Besta Tofta high gloss doors Article Number: 501.865.95) and BESTA shelf units.

I didnt have that door swing the other way because I knew my kids would smash it right into the wall.

the far right cabinet is actually one of the 22 inch depth single cabinets so I was able to get it in black. It is close to the wall so it did not infringe on the vehicle I park there. The deep cabinet is great for all of my sons sports gear. Here is a picture, you can kind of see how it comes out further. Not sure if I would have wanted them all to be 22 inch deep even if I could. Makes it hard to tell what you have in the back of the cabinet.

Nice cabinets. I do have to ask, do you ever NOT grin every time that Ferrari v8 roars to life. That sound is just pure ***.

I love the AVISKIT cabinets with the aluminum roll fronts. They are a bit more industrial looking. Getting some delivered to the house tomorrow.

Became interested in that car after a top gear episode comparing "saloon" cars. Heard more clips of the exhaust on youtube and was hooked. The previous owner had installed a tubi exhaust so it sounds awesome. Dont really need a radio for that car, I just roll down the windows.

That's a fantastic transformation :thumbup::thumbup: it just needs a black and white tiled floor, wow that would be great but hey it's your garage ;)

I'm a big fan of the IKEA cabinets myself, I have quite the collection. I used them throughout our whole house.

I like their small metal cabinets ...hemnes i think they are.....theyre great for organizing small parts and hardware. Throw a few under a workbench and your set.

I actually did this: I've got 8 of them underneath my workbench. They work great but it's a simple design. The drawers are not attached to the cabinet, just laying on an angle iron therefor the drawers might fall out when you've opened them more than 1/2.

Bit of thread necromancy but am looking at cabinet options for my garage, and the budget doesn't quite stretch to the Newages or proper dedicated cabinets. Pax was something I was looking at, but their shelves are rated at just 26lbs each? Am assuming you didn't use their "Komplement" ones, and went with something else instead? Am thinking ply or 3/4" MDF with some reinforced brackets?
