Illuminated Switches

Ever since we moved into this house a couple of years ago, I have been bothered by the lack of illuminated light switches in certain areas. There are a few, but not everywhere I would like them.
I want to replace about 20 switches. About 7 of them are 3-way, the others are single pole. All the switches are Decora style.
The local stores have switches from 'Leviton' and from 'Pass & Seymour'.
Is one better than the other? Any preference? Cost is about the same per switch.

Keep in mind that if you have (or switch to) LED's, the lighted switches will probably flicker. Even the ones that say they are LED compatible have a flicker in my experience.

What type of illuminated switch? There are models that are lighted when OFF, & then the type that requires a neutral at the switch & are lighted when ON.

I'm guessing he means lighted when off. I installed automatic motion sensor switches in my laundry room, which I pass through going to the garage, and in the garage. Very handy and nicely automatic. They can also be operated manually if desired.

I had to remove those Illuminated Switches and replace them with standard switches...after I replaced all my old under cabinet florescent lighting with LED Lighting.

The LED's under the cabinet stayed on (very dim Glow) due to the low voltage the switch uses to light its own LED light behind the Switch.

Otherwise I use them all around my house.
(I have all Pass & Seymour)
