I joined here about 8 years ago to build a new garage. This place is a great resource.

I had a 24'X28' garage built and I finished the inside. I found great information for the planning and finishing.

Sold that place in 2014!

Moved to Whitehorse and lived in the burbs with a 2 stall attached garage. Nothing to get excited about.

Last fall we moved again, within Whitehorse, and bought 2 1/2 acres with a house and garage.

Garage is 36' deep and 50' wide. 10' walls. It had no heat but the walls and ceiling are insulated.

I had a hanging propane heater installed last fall.

Now I need to paint the inside and get set up! Exciting times.

I started priming the OSB yesterday.........

Whitehorse is beautiful, as is all of Yukon.

October can be the start of winter though........ be prepared.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

GMC: great looking shop and garage and you don't have to own a great garage to post on others threads or talk about tools, cars or stuff, but welcome back anyway.

just curious why you put OSB on the ceilings of your new shop or did you buy it that way? any pics of the fleet and or some cool tools and signs or stuff?

cheers

Welcome. I was last in Whitehorse in 1971 when I was 11. Presumably it's changed since then. We were on our way up the Alaska Highway. All I remember is they were paving the approaches to Whitehorse then.

Welcome back to the forum from Southwestern California, my most recent visit to Whitehorse was in 1961, while there I bought a Crokinole (sp?) board at the Bay Company, I still have it.

Laird hot springs in October .

Maybe not this October! All BC parks are C19 Closed. You can camp there but the pools are closed. Drove down to Northern Rockies Lodge in Muncho Lake last month for a mini vacation, that is a wonderful part of the world.
