Had an electrician out today to talk about the project and get an estimate. We're going to tap my 200A panel in the attached garage and put a 100A subpanel in the shop. Mapped out locations for 220v outlets and 110v convenience outlets.

Well, my building didn't ship this week but it's OK. It's Coooooold here right now! Should have my permit back approved early next week then it's time to rock.

More delays :-(

Still no permit, building should be on the ground 12/17. Got my electrician lined up for 125A subpanel and all the inside wiring, and the concrete is lined up as well. Once SOMETHING happens, it should be a flurry of activity from there on out!

Better tape that permit on a little better, a good gust of wind and you'll be at the permit office in the morning for a replacement. (they charge for duplicates around here....)

Wife called me at work and said all 23 post holes are dug and the inspector is on his way. She took pics, isn't she great?

Building is on the way from Grand Island, NE. Should be in the backyard some time this morning. Should go together quickly, this is their only build left before Xmas. Bummed I'm at work for all this, but getting updates from home makes the day go faster.

is that a wood framed building with steel siding?

My brother and I had a 50x96 x 16 building built in SD by Foltz--it took them three days to have it completely erected!!

best of luck!

Correct, they should be done by Saturday. Wife just called and said there's a truckload of "big triangle thingies" :bounce: in the backyard.

I live in Wellington, CO about 400 miles away. The building will be used for a workshop for my cars. The 1st bay will have a 9000# 2 post lift.

Garage doors are up, had 47 yards of road base delivered for the pad, and then.....

Oh well, the electrical trenches inside the building all passed inspection, so we can get ready to pour the slab.

Great looking building! Which 9000# lift are you going with? Are you going with the balancing cables on the floor or overhead? I just finished my 2400 sq ft pull thru shop and circle driveway. Need to post up the pics. Install UCoatIt epoxy on the floor last weekend. Looks amazing! Working on electrical now. Sure glad we don't have the snow to deal with down here in Austin, TX :) Then again we don't have the beautiful mountains to enjoy either :(

Are you going to heat your shop?
Sure wish I could have built mine in 3 days. I'm going on about a year and a half now.

Looks like there's concrete prep work going on right now. Don't know if they'll pour today or not. Progress is progress, can't complain!

The electrician has the electrical trenched from the panel in my garage to the 125A subpanel in the shop. He'll be hooking it up tomorrow.

Going to pour a pad in front of the 3 roll up doors (42'w x 15'L) next week.
