Forget it. Wrong forum lol. I guess we'll just stay on topic about keeping it free. I'll release the final version of models when it's done. Anyone interested in the tool who knows what it is just shoot me a PM.

Not trying to be a ****, obviously we don't get it. Perhaps it's not as magical as you think.

Maybe tell us what it is?

Like I said, I am missing something. What is the application?

Not a mechanic... Anything of decent volume I use a caulking gun for. Rtv?
Looks like it's a dispenser for RTV squeeze-tubes that attaches to caulk guns. I've seen a couple dedicated tools for those types of tubes.

Hi shoreline, we already invented this tool back in the 1980’s. Our company owner Rich wanted an easy way to apply silicone sealants to his pulling tractor. He and my engineering mentor Ray developed this tool and patented it too. Rich had the financial were with all to spend lavishly on this item, making manufacturing facilities, hiring sales, warehousing and assembly workers. Going to trade shows etc. Besides being a beautiful design and inexpensive it never took off. The local hardware stores that were encouraged to stock them later took the unsold ones off the shelf and sold at give away prices.

I still recommend every GJ member get one. Once you use it and see it empty 99% of your tube contents using very little hand pressure, you will wonder where it has been your whole garage working life.

Don’t be discouraged with your free offering. I think what you want to do is awesome!

I'm not a patent attorney, and don't play one on TV (my acting skills preclude acting as anyone but myself), and I DO agree that people shouldn't be able to profit on other people's ideas if the originator's intent is to make money off an idea - but in the wide market, there is a benefit for people to build/sell products based on other people's ideas AS LONG AS IT IS NOT INFRINGING ON THE OTHER PERSON'S INCOME/PROFIT.

For example, not everyone has a 3D printer and/or does not have the want/need/skills (or can afford to buy one), and if someone likes/wants OP's creation, I PERSONALLY think it's fine for someone to print it and sell it to others because OP has no intent to profit from its creation himself. Although I have long considered getting a 3D printer, I'm not going to buy one just because I want to recreate one particular item - but I might be willing to pay someone that is printing them out for sale.

Though one of these days, if I can think of at least one thing to use as an excuse to buy a 3D printer to the wife...

Caveat - I am not interested in THIS particular product, as I have no need/want for such a thing myself.
