I thought it would be impossible for me to fit a Mohawk A7 due to the height of my garage. I have 127" till I hit the dry wall ceiling. Well, duh, someone pointed out that they ran their line through the rafters. I have an attic above the garage. The access hatch is in the garage All I have to do is make sure the line doesn't hit any wood and run the line up and over through some nicely finished openings....I do believe that it will work.

No, a Mohawk hair style just won't work for me. While I have more hair than Dolly Pardon (grey)...I wear a hat.

Congrats, you will love having it. I would also go with the inground kit for the lines if you don't have the room overhead.

I love mine.

My lines are run above the rafters because I have an open ceiling and I use the rafters to support the line. You don't have to go that rough either. you can just run them to the ceiling. I saw one with the lines run to the ceiling then forward to the wall, around the car, and back to the other post. I still don't know what he was thinking on that install.

I think you were talking about the one that Oldcarguy has, it was to clear the bridge crane. That is why I am going in floor, so when my bridge crane is done there won't be any clearance issues from that.

Thats exactly why I put the lines in the floor.

There's no reason I can't run it up into the dry walled ceiling and then across the rafters and down, is there? It seems to be the only good way I can do this.

Hat or no hat...

Hell, you can run the lines around the perimeter of your house if you want. Up over the rafters should be no problem.

Ok, I'm looking for info on the Mohawk A7 and I saw somewhere that it needs 12"s of concrete pad???? I this true? I don't think NORAD has 12"s of concrete over them.

I also can't seem to find all dimensions for the A7. Max height, width, weight, pad thickness, golden goodness.....not really a doc that shows any of that.

Go to the "product support" tab at the top of the Mohawk website. There you will find specs under the architect section and there is also a section on slab requirements.

Don't need anywhere near 12" of concrete. Don't have the book handy but I think it is 5" unless they changed spec. I happen to have 8" but that was just my call.
