I've always had a thing for old wood cabinets with lots of drawers.

This is called a "hardware store cabinet", there are 90 small drawers, over 45 rectangular drawers, 20 nail bins and tons of cubbies and other things.

I'm thinking of a new style for my barn - 1800s hardware store.

Theres an architectural salvage place near me that sells that sort of thing, old shop interiors, they had a complete old victorian chemists shop (drug store) amazing, loads of drawers like that, mirros and glass bottles all labelled with the latin names of chemicals. Prices are eye watering though.

Watch the gov auctions.
Card cabinets come up often and a lot of them match each other.
Even if from different sites.
When a major library converts to computers it is time to check the accounting.
