No, actually thats a lie.
I think I may be addicted to gloating...

Anyway... Today was a good day for yard sales!
This morning started out with an auction, but that ended up being a waste of time, and I left with nothing at all.
But on the way home, I passed two yard sales.
The first one was about as interesting as they usually are. Clothes, furniture, the usual junk. But the second one? That was what a bargain hunter's dreams are made of!

There were several small toolboxes full of stuff, and it turned out to be pretty good stuff!

After I picked through all of them, this is what I ended up with!

They are all American made vise grips. There is an old Snapon 3/8" stubby, and an old Snapon 1/4" in the pile also. Along with a hand full of Snapon sockets, and one Snapon wrench.
And a set of Craftsman ignition wrenches, and... Well, you can see the rest.

If I was smart, I would just keep my mouth shut about the price, as several of these tools are going to the classifieds. But.... As I said, I'm addicted to gloating...

All of the above, set me back a total of $49.00
:rocker:

Very nice!
I'm digging the little Snap On ratchets!

I need to start hitting up yard sales again, I've taken a few months off.

Before I joined here I hit a sale and scored a small box full of 3/8" extensions, breaker bars, speed handles, etc. All Snap On, all $1 a piece.
I also got a cool old craftsman belt sander from the 1960's, still like new, for $10 from the same sale.
I spent about $50 there.

Averages out to around $1.50 a piece......That might qualify for a Mount Everest sized "You ****".........Excellent finds, though.

Should be about $1.58 a piece so if I give you $5 for the Snap-on stubbie you are way ahead. What do you say? :D

Very nice find my man.

Well... that one actually cost me $2.00 soo...

Lol, I'm keeping the stubby anyway. The rest of the ratchets are going up for sale.

If I remember right, sears started suppling rebuild kits for the old raised panel ratchets right? It turns out the gear in the 1/2" is stripped. And I certainly don't wan't a modern raised panel for it...

Is that Snap on angle wrench an AO1818? I have one just like it. Not a Snap on style wrench. I wonder if it was manufactured for Snap on by Cornwell or Fairmount?

It's an A01616 1/2"

It did occur to me that it looks a little unlike Snapon.
The beam is narrower, and squarer.

Btw
Here's the stubby ratchet the Snap on is replacing.
It's was an old generic cheap crappy chinese ratchet I lopped the handle off of.
It worked ok, but this sure is an upgrade!

Great finds Kirbot. That Snap On is one hell of an upgrade from the Alltrade.
