I'm ordering a Mityvac 7300 pneumatic, anything else required?

I'm planning on using this for oil and trans fluid changes. Are there any extras I need to purchase before I start using it? I've got a tiny compressor, any concerns with that?

Figured I'd ask before I place my order with Zoro.Image.jpg

As long as the tubing they provide fits down the dipstick tubes on your vehicles you'll be fine with what it comes with. Nothing extra is needed. Not sure on the compressor.

It can probably work, but it might be a frustrating experience. You’re going to need to shut off and turn on the vacuum repeatedly while the compressor is constantly refilling the tank. Or just let the compressor run until you’re done. That boils down to time waiting. You can help things along by warming up the oil before you extract it (not hot). It will flow better and get extracted quicker.

As an example, I use a Venturi style vacuum to bleed my brakes. The compressor is a 20 gal with about 5.6 cfm at 90 psi. I can open the vacuum valve for around 20 seconds before the pump turns on, then wait a minute for the tank to refill. Rinse and repeat.

Got it ordered. I'll upgraded the compressor if necessary. I've had that that tiny cheap compressor for at least 15 years now. It's noisy as hell, but continues to put air in the occasional low tire.

I'll give it a try.
