Wow sorry my I-Phone has had a mind of its own lately. It just sent a uncompleted draft to the post. I'm also interested in purchasing a set of 2/4 cycle carb adjustment tools.
It is against federal law in the us for anyone who is not a legitimate and actual service technician to be in possession of carb adjustment tools and in many cases the manufacturer may not even offer them to authorized techs. Those, and may other, do not plan or want adjustments made, rather carbs replaced when there are issues and a large portion current made carbs have no adjusters anyway.
Sadly, it's pretty easy to get them.

Be very careful with used 2 cycle...easy to get burned on a poorly treated unit that looks good. Personally I wouldn't buy a used unit without some good inspection, like looking in cylinder and seal test. If seller refuses I would walk.

I've ran several brands of outdoor power equipment of many different applications. At the end of the day I only buy Echo power equipment whenever I need something new. I don't use them professionally but I run them daily. Literally every day, and often all day long. Echo always comes out on top. I still use a Stihl 20" pro saw just because it's sitting around but I think a ne CS590 would cut circles around it. It's a good saw with good engineering, don't get me wrong. But I think the entire Stihl brand is over rated, while Echo is EXTREMELY under rated. I have enough experience myself to see this and it's such an obvious choice for me on where to spend my money.

If you want prograde, an entry level one:

Happens to be my favorite tool.

I own hunting property up north and have been using saws up there for over a decade. Only brands amongst the collection I've seen up there can last 10 hours a day, 2-3 days in a row are Stihl and Husq. Not saying Echo can't, but I've seen Echos, homelites, craftsman and several others have issues. Let alone they all are lacking power. But, you don't need a saw to do that. I think you'd be fine saving the money on an Echo for your casual use.

I agree. I worked in the lumber industry and used a Stihl 044 day in and day out. Absolutely best tool I have ever used.
