I posted earler about being drawn for jury duty. Didn't get drawn but went 4 days and got paid $80.80. Some money for the tool fund, so i went to pawn shop today. Found 2 3/8 drive SO ratchets. Asked price, clerk said $5 each, shocked him by paying the price. I usually haggle and sometimes politely walk out. They are rather well used and look like they have spent some time in a tool box with no liners and plenty of other tools to bump against.
One is a F 80 so I guess this means it is a dual 80. It does not have USA markings so does that make it a collector's item? It is well broken in and smooth as silk. Date code 2009. Screws come in from bottom.
The other one is a F 713. I was attracted to it because it is a pushbutton release and I have always liked them. Chrome worn through in a few places. The head is smaller than the F 80. It needs taking apart, cleaning, and oiling. No date code but It appears from the Collecting Snap on page that those models were made 1975-78. 20 clicks in the head. Now I have a 3/8 ratchet to go with my 1/2 pushbutton ratchet.
The Collecting Snap on page lists this F713 as a flex head ratchet and it is not. Any ideas on that?
