imgur doesn't work. It will cache images in your browser and make you think it is working, but you need to host somewhere else or upload here.

I've used photobucket for over a decade... but they **** now. Now I'm trying imgur, without any luck...

img tags don't seem to be helping either... so I'll keep trying before I get my thread going.

Can you see the pics I've posted at all? I figured out how to get them to work for my computer, but can you see them?

Yea... I use one of three methods...

1. Create an Album in your profile HERE in Garage Journal. UPLOAD the pictures... click on the pic you want to use in a thread... COPY the BB code below the picture and simply paste it in the post where you want the picture.

2. Direct upload the pictures to the post... via the "paperclip" attachment.

3. Personally I use Drop Box... upload the pictures to "shared" then copy the link... at the end of the link there is an "dl=0"... that you need to change to "raw=1" when you paste the link into the post.

3edit. the dl=0 stands for DOWNLOAD when clicked... the raw=1 stands for show the raw picture if the embedded image is clicked.

Yeah, was looking for free hosting that would allow multiple files to upload at the same time, looks like I'll be going back to dropbox... but I didn't want to have to edit the url for each picture.

I've used the "garage" on some motorcycle forums, but then I don't have them somewhere "public", which for the purposes of this forum - is just fine.

You can't just change the =0 to =1, it has to be the dl=0 to raw=1

apparently your dropbox link is no good.

OK... I see the difference... they appear the same... but clicking on the image is different... dl is to download, while raw is to just pop the raw image when clicking. Ok... I get it.. thanks Stro... guess if hits those people that use those phone things
