Impact driver bits?

Just bought my first impact driver and now looking for bits? Are the milwakee shcokwave bits good stuff? any other suggestions? I know I want the 1/4 bit for 1/4 sockets as well as 3/8, and screw bits.

Everything but the drill bits has held up fine. I replaced the drill bits with Hitachi Hi-Torq ones from Sears. The Hitachi bits have been excellent.

The bits are still about half off and well worth it in my opinion. As time goes on the DeWalt bits started to flex. Other than that all the other attachments have worked perfectly and withstood a lot of abuse.

the Milwaukee ones are pretty durable plus they're magnetic - or at least mine are.

I don't have a lot of experience with different bits, but I bought that milwaukee set after looking around for a while. I like it a lot. The bits seem fine and durable, and a huge plus for me was the container inside the case to put extra bits, from whatever manufacturer. I like to keep it all together, and the case is great and does just that. Plus it fits comfortably in with my impact driver case.

i have a cheap 20$ hitachi set from costco its holding up great and ive beat the hell outta the bits
some others i have are the milwalkee shockwave which i like just fine, and some irwin bits, they are all doing ok but for the price id get a shockwave set

I have both, havent used the Makita that hard yet but I still prefer them over the Shockwave. I personally couldnt drive more than a couple dozen screws with a #2 phillips shockwave before the tip was tore up. My go to bits are now Apex, and Wiha, even on the impact they still seem to hold up better.

I have tried the DeWalt impact philips bits and thought they were horrible and returned them. What has worked best for me is actually the cheap kobalt p2 bits. I bought 2 50 packs on clearance about a year ago for about $15 each. They hold up better than anything else that I have tried. I mainly drive 3" deck screws with them. Just my 2 cents.

I had to get the shockwaves, couldn't find the makitas locally, went to three different home depots, which said they were in stock online but, when I got there, it was a different story.

Use the shockwave bits daily, you won't be disappointed.

I'm less than impressed with the Milwaukee Shockwave bits.

These are just the ones I found rolling around in the bottom of my bag...

Milwaukee's compact impact eats them alive. The tips snap WAY too easily.

I can see that they deformed a little before they snapped, so I don't think they are overly brittle. Just inferior material to begin with.
