Impact gun set on ebay

This is an odd set. It's 2 impact guns (1/4" & 3/8" drive) and a handful of sockets. The brand has been ground off of all the items for some reason, but that is definitely a NAPA logo on the impact guns.

Anyway, the impact guns look like they might be the U.S.A.-made (Florida Pneumatic?) magnesium housing impact guns. If so, this is definitely a good price because the guns are worth at least $100 each. The sockets look to be Taiwan and are probably of acceptable quality.

Anyone have any info on this NAPA kit???

I wonder why they scratched off the logos on the guns and sockets? It does however look like the logo on the guns were napa.

The listing says more than 10 available, so I'm guessing it happened at the warehouse after the kit was discontinued or something...

Yeah no kidding! I'd never even heard of an E4 Torx impact socket until I saw this thing. I tried fruitlessly to scavenge the intwerwebs for info on this kit. If the wrenches are what I think they are, this probably had a retail price north of $400

The model # 61-8021 on one of the impact sockets is a Napa 21mm thin wall impact socket to further support the napa concept

It's pretty common to see "debranded" computer monitors sold as discontinued or overstock. Probably something similar here.

This looks like a specialty kit that someone had made to ship with their proprietary machine/jig/something to service it.

Who knows maybe this is every size socket you need to service a Tesla or something

Yeah I'd think removing manufacturer just assures no warranty claims if these were dumped off as overstock, obsolete, etc

Ok so the impact guns look to be:
"Pro Platinum" 1/2" DRIVE SUPER DUTY AIR IMPACT WRENCH # 6-1072 and
"Pro Platinum" 1/4" DRIVE SUPER DUTY AIR IMPACT WRENCH # 6-1077

Both made in Taiwan, so the whole kit is made in Taiwan. The 6-1072 looks to be long discontinued. These only carried a 1-year warranty from NAPA. For $92 bucks I'd say this is a pretty smokin deal. Plus you already know exactly where to engrave your initials on each tool :lol_hitti

6-1072 Specifications

Max. Free Speed....... 8,500 RPM
Max. Torque ............ 550 ft. lbs.
Working Torque....... 50-350 ft. lbs.
Air Inlet .................... 1/4" NPT

Sound Level.............. 100 dBA

6-1077 Specifications:
Max. Free Speed...... 10,000 RPM
Max. Torque............ 70 ft. lbs
Working Torque...... 5-55 ft. lbs.
Air Inlet ................... 1/4" NPT
Min. Hose Size......... 3/8" I.D.
Avg. Air Cons. ......... 2.2 CFM

Seeing as the set that still had the Napa logo on it sold for $300 shipped, the original link is a great deal.

Thanks! I had both open and copied the wrong one.

Yeah good find for sure I've spent hours looking! And the best I could come up with was what I thought were the models of the impact guns. Cheers for that

This actually seems like a pretty cool kit to me. Tempting for sure...I'm not too bothered by the brand being ground off...it was just NAPA anyway

Very Interesting, does anyone know the OEM for the two impacts?

Looked up part numbers for the NAPA models, they are both made by Professional Tool Products, the same company making the new Matco air tools.

I have no use for this right now but at such a price....who can resist? The NAPA store price for just the 1/4" impact is $194.00.

I really don't need to blow the money, but for that price...anyone have/use the 1/2 impact? 550 lbs reverse torque max isn't a ton...

It seems on part with other $50-100 impact tools in a quick search, but are you finding significantly better at a similar price? The 1/4 is probably nice to have, but I dont see myself using that a bunch.

I was thinking vs the 2135 tiMax everyone has and raves about.

For the price it's good, but it's no upgrade if you already have a good IR.
