Impact Sockets....Does Brand Matter?

Going back a few posts where I asked about allen head impact sockets, I noticed Harbor Freight actually has a set, just that it's missing all the sizes I need
EDIT: Wait, my mistake. For some reason I was thinking that A 15mm bolt, when using an equivalent cap head bolt, would require a 15mm hex head socket. Just checked my rachet ones and realized that was wrong.

Have a look at Genius impact sockets. They are excellent value, and to date i've yet to warranty one. If you want thin walled... may i suggest Koken.

Do have any indian brand in 3/4" sq.dr & 1" sq.dr ?

I think Wright's tool catalog says something about using impact rather than chrome sockets with torque multipliers. So perhaps the (quality) impact socket is stronger than the chrome socket in every way. But the chrome socket fits more things.

I do NOT use impact sockets professionally but I will say that I was extremely impressed with Ingersoll Rand's impact sockets. They came in a nice case and when I got them on Amazon were under 20 dollars for 8 sockets. Heres the kit I bought

I have grey pneumatic. I love them. Professional use. I have bought sockets, long, short, swivels, all in metric and SAE. I also have hex and torx bits. I have 1/2, 3/8, and 1/4. They ALL have performed without flaw. I have not broke one in 4 years. Cant say enough about Grey Pneumatic sockets!

I use to think that brand didn't matter until I was pulling the front axles out of my Jeep and had a HF 36mm impact socket on an impact wrench and the socket exploded on me when I pulled the trigger.
From then on I only buy quality tools. In the end its cheaper than hurting yourself and luckily only my fender on the Jeep got damaged and not me.

they take a beating and are built right; no corners cut no bs
