Impact sockets from Epsteins

Posted a few days ago about needing impact sockets for occasional use around the house and shop. Since then, I've shopped around quite a bit and have decided that I'll spend a bit more than originally planned and get either a set of the Wright or SK impacts from HJE. Both are in the $70 range and contain the same assortment of sockets. Below are the two sets being considered. I know that the Wright wrenches get rave reviews on the site but never hear much either good or bad about their sockets. I own several SK ratchets, sockets and wrenches and for the most part have always been pleased with them. For that reason I am currently leaning towards the SK impacts but would like to hear from anyone out there familiar with either or both brands before ultimately deciding. Thanks.

The only bad thing is there was some quality issues with SK items purchased recently. Think it was with chrome mostly.

Thanks, and yeah, I've heard others on here talk about plating issues with SK even though I haven't personally experienced it on recently bought items. I was looking more at differences in wall thickness, broaching etc.

I have the SK set it's very nice.

I've also been to epsteins and handled the wright stuff also. Top notch. You really can't go wrong here.

I think either (S*K or Wright) would be hard to destroy with hand tools even if you deliberately tried to. At least for the 1/2" drive and up. I guess they all wear from the rattling action of a gun.
I think Bonney might have been very slightly tighter fit.
It is possible to look up how deep the broach depth (depth of the wrenching gullet) is inside the sockets in the Wright and Snap On catalogs. My Wright standard 17 mm. is deeper than my Sunnex.(1/2" dr. impact) Deeps surprisingly might not be deeper than the standard "shallow" as far as the usable length-might need to accommodate an acorn nut

I have that same SK 3/8" Metric impact set. They're great, and actually have the size every 1/3 around, and lined up properly so if on a rail, they all line up.

Who knows?
I have 3/8" metric S•K impacts. Pretty good in my opinion.

I've had qc issues with S•K, but no problems with the impact sockets.

1foxracing has the Wright ones I believe. I'll try to find a pic of them.

I do have both shallow and deep metric 1/2 drive in Wright. I mainly work on motorcycles so they don't see daily use. I'm very happy with them and and they don't rust up constantly like my previous Snap On versions.
