As above, the HF "Pittsburgh PRO" ones are GREAT for the money. They are made in Taiwan and are highly regarded by nearly everyone. :)

Probably the same vendor that makes the Canadian Tire Mastercraft branded impacts, I've been beating on mine for more than a decade without a single failure.

I have the HF 13pc set. It does skip sizes, but they're sizes that you would very, very seldom every use. I just wish they would've included a 12mm instead of a 10mm, but the individual sockets are pretty good. The set also goes to 32mm, which many don't.

Autozone has a Duralast 8pc metric deep well set for 14.99 I believe.. They are all 6 point and carry a lifetime warranty. At less than 2.00 per socket they are a pretty good buy. The only gripe I have about those is that they didn't include a 14mm....

th 13pc set is the less preferred cr-v stamped sockets. Autozones are also cr-v sockets

I know CR-V is less preferred, but the people who have beaten HF CR-V sockets into the ground are going to debate and say they work fine for the "DIYer".

I recall a Sears Craftsman 23 piece set that was deeply discounted last year for $20 but think it was SAE. Check Ebay as those went on immediately by flippers for $39 or $59 !!! :D There was massive glut of those so might be some cheap USA sockets still floating around on Ebay.

Cheaper Evolve impacts from Sears also, but they're not as stout.

EDIT: Found this on Ebay where guy has slew of quality impacts and offers flat rate shipping of $4.99 for 1 to 100 sockets. Might be able to put together something OP might like.

Cr-mo is much more durable and in my opinion they dont catastrophically fail like cr-v will. Infact ive blown up a few cr-v and had no idea they were going bad, where as cr-mo will mushroom/deform and become very obvious if they were going to fail. But this was after thousands of hours of use. Cr-v can let go at anytime and its pretty scary when it does.
