Anyone use JH Williams or Armstrong impact sockets? How is the quality? Are the worth the extra money compared to Craftsman?

I have some Armstrong. They are the same as the old USA Craftsman. If you look around you can find them for the same price as Craftsman and the other a wider range of sizes.

I broke down and got a 1/4" along with the 3/8" impacts form Gray.

They have proven to be very good. I think the Gray company is out of Canada. I have tools marked Gray and made in Canada. They are very good.
I like the fact that there sets have all the sockets and don't skip any. The price is right.
I have had 25 years good luck with HF believe it or not. The skip too many sockets for me.

Craftsman are ok and easy to replace but you are limited to the size.

I've used el cheapo impacts and expensive SK impacts, honestly there is basically no difference from what I can discern. In fact the higher end USA impacts tend to wear more.

Nothing wrong with Cman, the sizes they skip are basically non-existent in use, I think on the MM side they only skip 20, 23, 25, and 26 in the 12-27mm set, and none of those are in regular use. That being said there really is no reason to buy them anymore since they are imported, and you can get better imported sockets for less.

Armstrong impacts are the same as the USA made Craftsman but much more expensive.
