Impact tool for carbide hole cutters?

A guy I have working for me around the house is looking for a cordless set, and asked me to order him one and take it out of his pay. I went to check what the Bosch set was since that's what I have, and noticed an odd picture.

The picture of the impactor shows it being used with a carbide hole cutter used by electricians. Obviously impactors are not meant to drill with, but is this an application they are used for, or simply a mistake when a clueless marketing department takes a promotional photo?

Actually now that I look at it more it looks like a regular hole saw of the German variety. Guessing the photo is a mistake.

Why would it be a mistake? I used my Milwaukee impact with a 2 1/8 hole saw because my M12 drill didn't like the hole saw and kept smoking. I also use my Dewalt Impact drill bits all the time with the impact. Drilled some 3/8 pilot holes in the hardened steel frame of my semi this weekend before finishing them with a reamer bit to 5/8.

I used to think it was crazy too, until I had a demo of an impact driving spade bits (and those weird Bosch bits that are a hybrid of a spade bit and a spiral) drilling lumber. It worked great.

Yep, large augers off the top of a ladder where the high torque drill would throw you using it with one hand get put in a socket that fits it with a 1/4" drive adaptor and wrapped up in tape. Same deal with holesaws on odd angles you know are going to jerk your wrist when the pilot breaks through.
